There’s something about Crete that always draws me in. The landscapes, the sea, the mountain views, and that wonderful feeling that life can move at a slightly slower pace.
MiraView Villas is the kind of place I’d choose for a quiet escape, whether it’s a few days away as a couple or a relaxed holiday with someone you love. Part of an intimate complex of just three stone villas, it combines contemporary design with natural materials and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
What I particularly like is the balance between indoor comfort and outdoor living. You have everything you need inside, but with a private pool, a beautiful terrace, and those lovely sea and mountain views, I imagine most of the day will be spent outside.
The Villa | Small Details, Thoughtfully Done
With 67 sqm of indoor space, the villa is designed to feel comfortable without being overwhelming.
The bedroom features a king-size bed, plenty of wardrobe space, a desk, and a TV. The open-plan living area brings together a fully equipped kitchen, a dining space for two, and a cosy lounge with a sofa bed, armchair, fireplace, and another TV.
It’s the kind of layout that works beautifully for a couple, with enough room to settle in and feel at home rather than simply passing through.
I also love the idea of having a fireplace for those quieter evenings, when all you really want is a comfortable sofa, a good glass of wine, and nowhere else to be.
Outdoor Living | Your Own Little Corner of Crete
This is where MiraView really comes into its own.
The villa has an impressive 165 sqm of outdoor space, with a private heated freshwater pool, sun loungers, an outdoor shower, and a fully equipped gas BBQ area.
There’s also an outdoor dining table for six, which makes it easy to invite friends over or simply enjoy a long, unhurried dinner outside.
And then there’s the seating area around the outdoor fireplace. I can picture spending the late afternoon by the pool, watching the light change over the mountains, before moving outside for dinner and staying there long after sunset.
The pool measures 3 by 7 metres and can be heated for an additional charge.
For me, it’s these little things that make a stay feel special. Not having to go anywhere, not having to plan too much, just enjoying the space and the moment.
The Setting | A Quieter Side of Crete
Located in the Lasithi region of Crete, MiraView offers a peaceful setting surrounded by natural beauty, with panoramic views across the sea and mountains.
This is the kind of location I'd look at if I wanted to experience a quieter side of the island, away from the busiest resort areas.
Crete is wonderful for exploring, of course, but I think there’s also something to be said for choosing a beautiful base and allowing yourself a few days to do very little.
A slow breakfast, a swim before the day gets too warm, a drive through the surrounding countryside, and a stop at a local taverna for a long lunch. Sometimes, that’s more than enough.
I'd recommend checking the distances to nearby beaches, villages, and restaurants before booking, depending on how much exploring you'd like to do during your stay.

One detail worth mentioning is the villa's approach to sustainability.
