Some places just feel right for a summer holiday, and Villa Solis, in the beautiful northeast of Corfu, is one of them.
I love the idea of this villa for a big family getaway or a holiday with friends. There’s plenty of room for everyone, lovely sea views, a private pool, and all those outdoor spaces that make you want to spend just a little longer around the table.
Because, for me, the best Greek holidays are never really about how much you do. They’re about having nowhere in particular to be, a beautiful place to come back to, and your favourite people all under one roof.
The Villa | A Place to Feel at Home
With seven bedrooms and space for up to 14 guests, Villa Solis is a lovely option for larger families, several generations travelling together, or a group of friends looking for a little escape in Corfu.
The villa has a relaxed, comfortable feel, with several living areas, a fully equipped kitchen, and everything you need for an easy stay. There’s air conditioning throughout, Wi-Fi, Smart TVs, and even a fireplace for cooler evenings.
The bedrooms offer a mix of double and twin beds, with several en-suite bathrooms. Some open onto the garden or terraces, while others have private balconies with beautiful sea views.
I can already picture those slow mornings, coffee in hand, stepping out onto the balcony before the rest of the house wakes up.
Outdoor Living | The Greek Summer, Just as It Should Be
This is where I imagine most of your holiday will happen.
The private pool, comfortable sunbeds, shaded dining areas, and outdoor lounge spaces make it easy to settle into that lovely summer rhythm where the days seem to pass without you even noticing.
Breakfast by the pool, a lazy afternoon swim, something delicious on the barbecue, and dinner outside as the evening breeze sets in.
There’s plenty of room for everyone to come together, but also enough space to find a quiet corner when you feel like doing absolutely nothing.
And if you’re visiting outside the hottest summer months, the pool can be heated upon request, which is a lovely bonus.
Honestly, give me a table full of good food, a beautiful setting, and nowhere else to be, and I’m happy.
The Location | A Beautiful Corner of Corfu
One of the things I love about northeast Corfu is its coastline. It feels wonderfully green and unhurried, with little coves, clear blue water, charming villages, and plenty of places to discover along the way.
Avlaki Beach is just a short drive from the villa, while Arias and Kerasia beaches are also nearby.
I'd spend the mornings exploring a different beach, stop for a long lunch at a traditional taverna, and leave the afternoons open for whatever takes your fancy.
Kassiopi is around a 12-minute drive away and is lovely for an evening stroll, a wander around the harbour, or dinner by the water.
And if you feel like exploring a little further, Corfu Town is worth setting aside a day for. Its Venetian streets, little boutiques, and lively cafés offer a completely different side of the island.
My tip? I'd definitely recommend having a car. There's so much to discover around this part of Corfu, and some of the best moments happen when you decide to take the scenic route.

Villa Solis comes with maid service, private parking, Wi-Fi, and air conditioning throughout.
There’s also a small exercise area for those who like to fit in a workout, even on holiday. And if you'd like to arrive in style, private jet or helicopter transfers can be arranged upon request.
But what I really like is that the villa gives you the freedom to make the holiday your own. You can spend the entire day by the pool, head out to explore the island, or mix a little of both.
No schedule, no pressure. Just the kind of summer days we all look forward to.
