There\u2019s something about Crete that always draws me in. The landscapes, the sea, the mountain views, and that wonderful feeling that life can move at a slightly slower pace.<\/p>\n

MiraView Villas is the kind of place I\u2019d choose for a quiet escape, whether it\u2019s a few days away as a couple or a relaxed holiday with someone you love. Part of an intimate complex of just three stone villas, it combines contemporary design with natural materials and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.<\/p>\n

What I particularly like is the balance between indoor comfort and outdoor living. You have everything you need inside, but with a private pool, a beautiful terrace, and those lovely sea and mountain views, I imagine most of the day will be spent outside.<\/p>\n

The Villa | Small Details, Thoughtfully Done<\/h3>\n

With 67 sqm of indoor space, the villa is designed to feel comfortable without being overwhelming.<\/p>\n

The bedroom features a king-size bed, plenty of wardrobe space, a desk, and a TV. The open-plan living area brings together a fully equipped kitchen, a dining space for two, and a cosy lounge with a sofa bed, armchair, fireplace, and another TV.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s the kind of layout that works beautifully for a couple, with enough room to settle in and feel at home rather than simply passing through.<\/p>\n

I also love the idea of having a fireplace for those quieter evenings, when all you really want is a comfortable sofa, a good glass of wine, and nowhere else to be.<\/p>\n

Outdoor Living | Your Own Little Corner of Crete<\/h3>\n

This is where MiraView really comes into its own.<\/p>\n

The villa has an impressive 165 sqm of outdoor space, with a private heated freshwater pool, sun loungers, an outdoor shower, and a fully equipped gas BBQ area.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s also an outdoor dining table for six, which makes it easy to invite friends over or simply enjoy a long, unhurried dinner outside.<\/p>\n

And then there\u2019s the seating area around the outdoor fireplace. I can picture spending the late afternoon by the pool, watching the light change over the mountains, before moving outside for dinner and staying there long after sunset.<\/p>\n

The pool measures 3 by 7 metres and can be heated for an additional charge.<\/p>\n

For me, it\u2019s these little things that make a stay feel special. Not having to go anywhere, not having to plan too much, just enjoying the space and the moment.<\/p>\n

The Setting | A Quieter Side of Crete<\/h3>\n

Located in the Lasithi region of Crete, MiraView offers a peaceful setting surrounded by natural beauty, with panoramic views across the sea and mountains.<\/p>\n

This is the kind of location I’d look at if I wanted to experience a quieter side of the island, away from the busiest resort areas.<\/p>\n

Crete is wonderful for exploring, of course, but I think there\u2019s also something to be said for choosing a beautiful base and allowing yourself a few days to do very little.<\/p>\n

A slow breakfast, a swim before the day gets too warm, a drive through the surrounding countryside, and a stop at a local taverna for a long lunch. Sometimes, that\u2019s more than enough.<\/p>\n

I’d recommend checking the distances to nearby beaches, villages, and restaurants before booking, depending on how much exploring you’d like to do during your stay.<\/p>\n

A Little More Thoughtful<\/h3>\n

One detail worth mentioning is the villa’s approach to sustainability.<\/p>\n

Solar panels help improve energy efficiency, while the landscaping incorporates greenery that contributes to natural cooling. It’s a thoughtful addition that fits nicely with the property’s natural setting.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s also a dedicated parking space with an electric vehicle charging point, which is a useful extra for guests travelling with an electric car.<\/p>\n

Why MiraView Villas?<\/h3>\n

For me, MiraView is all about having the freedom to enjoy Crete at your own pace.<\/p>\n

I particularly like the combination of stone architecture, contemporary interiors, a private pool, and the outdoor fireplace. It feels like a lovely option for couples who appreciate privacy, beautiful views, and the little comforts that make a holiday feel effortless.<\/p>\n

It’s not necessarily about filling every day with activities. It’s about waking up somewhere beautiful, enjoying your morning coffee outside, taking a dip in your own pool, and deciding what the day should look like as it unfolds.<\/p>\n

And with only three villas in the complex, there\u2019s an intimate feel to the setting without giving up the comforts of a well-designed modern stay.<\/p>\n
