Balos Lagoon – The Most Famous View

Balos is often the first image people associate with Crete.

The lagoon’s extraordinary shades of turquoise, shallow waters and white sand create one of the most spectacular landscapes in Greece.

The best way to experience Balos is by private boat, allowing you to avoid the crowds and combine the visit with nearby Gramvousa Island and hidden coves along the coast.

.

Elafonissi – The Pink Sand Paradise

Elafonissi is famous worldwide for its pink-tinted sand and crystal-clear waters.

Despite its popularity, it remains one of those places that genuinely lives up to expectations.

Arriving early in the morning allows you to enjoy the beauty before the busiest hours begin.

Chania Old Town & Venetian Harbour

  • Few places in Greece combine history, architecture and atmosphere as beautifully as Chania.

Spend an evening wandering through its narrow alleyways, enjoy dinner overlooking the harbour and watch the sunset behind the iconic lighthouse.

It is one of those places where every corner feels like a postcard.

    .

Paddle & Water Sports Along the Coast

Crete has become increasingly popular among paddle enthusiasts.

Some of the best areas include:

  • Chania coastline
  • חוף מרטי
  • Almyrida
  • Elounda Bay
  • איוס ניקולאוס

The calm waters in many of these locations make them ideal for SUP, kayaking and snorkelling. For active travellers, this is one of the most enjoyable ways to explore the coastline.

.

Discover Spinalonga Island

Located near Elounda, Spinalonga combines history, culture and stunning scenery.

Once a Venetian fortress and later a leper colony, it remains one of Crete’s most fascinating historical sites.

A private boat trip from Elounda adds an extra layer of exclusivity to the experience.

סיסי – פנינת החוף הנסתרת של כרתים

סיסי is one of those places that many visitors discover almost by accident and then never forget. Unlike some of Crete’s larger resort towns, Sissi has managed to preserve its authentic fishing-village atmosphere. The small harbour is lined with waterfront tavernas, colourful fishing boats and cafés where life moves at a wonderfully relaxed pace. What I love most about Sissi is that it offers simplicity in the best possible way.

Here you’ll discover a slower, more authentic Greece.Traditional villages. Untouched landscapes.

Family-owned tavernas. And some of the most spectacular natural scenery on the island. The region is also home to the famous Vai Palm Beach, Europe’s largest natural palm forest and one of the most unique coastal landscapes in Greece.

Sunset Dining Above the Sea

Some of the most memorable moments in Crete happen around the dinner table.

Whether it’s a waterfront seafood taverna in Chania, a cliffside restaurant overlooking Mirabello Bay or a private chef preparing dinner at your villa, Crete has a remarkable ability to turn a meal into a lasting memory.

Private Sailing to Secluded Beaches

One of my favourite experiences in Crete is seeing the island from the sea. Private sailing trips reveal hidden beaches, sea caves and untouched coves that are inaccessible by road. Whether departing from Chania, Elounda or Agios Nikolaos, a day on the water often becomes the highlight of the entire holiday.
