Kleftiko is not simply a beach but one of Greece’s greatest natural wonders. Accessible only by boat, its sea caves, towering white cliffs and turquoise waters make it one of the highlights of any visit to Milos.

Firiplaka is perfect for a full beach day, offering colourful volcanic cliffs, soft sand and calm, transparent water.

If there is one experience we always recommend at Yamas, it is spending a full day at sea. The western coastline of Milos is inaccessible by road, meaning many of the island’s most spectacular locations can only be reached by boat.

A private catamaran or a small-group sailing cruise allows you to explore Kleftiko, swim inside sea caves, snorkel in crystal-clear waters and discover secluded beaches that few visitors ever see.

Pollonia is our favourite recommendation for couples and guests seeking a peaceful atmosphere. This elegant fishing village offers boutique accommodation, beautiful waterfront restaurants and easy access to Kimolos.

Adamas is ideal for first-time visitors and families. As the island’s main harbour, it provides easy access to sailing trips, restaurants, cafés and local shops.

Plaka is the island’s charming capital. Its whitewashed streets, traditional Cycladic architecture and panoramic views make it one of the most romantic places to spend an evening.

For those looking for something truly unique, the colourful fishing villages of Klima, Mandrakia and Firopotamos offer some of the most picturesque scenery in the Cyclades.

Local Flavours You Shouldn’t Miss

Food is an essential part of every holiday in Greece, and Milos is no exception.

The island’s volcanic landscape has shaped both its scenery and its cuisine.

O! Hamos is one of the island’s best-known restaurants and a true Milos institution. Located beside the sea near Adamas, it serves authentic local recipes using ingredients sourced directly from the island.

Medusa, in the tiny fishing village of Mandrakia, is famous for its fresh seafood and unforgettable waterfront setting. It is one of those places where lunch easily turns into an afternoon spent enjoying the view.

In Pollonia, Armenaki is our favourite recommendation for elegant seafood dining, while Nama offers a relaxed beachfront atmosphere perfect for long summer lunches.

For a memorable dinner overlooking the colourful fishing houses of Klima, Astakas is always an excellent choice.

Guests spending the day at Paleochori should also consider dining at Sirocco, where several dishes are traditionally cooked using the island’s natural geothermal heat beneath the volcanic sand.
